Roofing Before & After in Santa Clarita, CA
Most roofing claims sound fine on paper. Seeing the actual tear-off, the rotted decking underneath, and the finished ridge line is different. In Santa Clarita, where summer heat bakes shingles for months at a stretch and winter winds test every edge, the proof is in what the roof looks like two years later. Here’s a look at recent work we’ve completed across the valley, documented from the first torn shingle to the final nail.

Blown-Off Hip and Ridge Repair in Valencia
Before
AfterThe winds that come down through the pass don’t announce themselves. This Valencia roof lost seven hip and ridge caps in one January gust, leaving the underlayment exposed before the next rain. We re-secured the loose field shingles, replaced every missing cap with an Owens Corning match, and sealed the nail heads with a polymer caulk that holds under direct sun. The ridge line looks whole again, and the written repair guarantee covers every cap for 365 days.
Flashing Failure Around a Chimney in Saugus
Before
AfterFlashing, the metal strips that seal joints around chimneys, vents, and walls, is where most leaks actually start. This Saugus home had step flashing that had pulled away from the chimney after years of expansion and contraction in the heat. We removed the old material, cut a new reglet into the mortar, installed galvanized step and counter-flashing, and tooled the joint with a UV-stable sealant. The water has one path now: off the roof, not behind it.
Full Replacement After Hail and Age in Canyon Country
Before
AfterTwenty-two-year-old three-tab shingles don’t owe anyone anything, especially after a spring hailstorm near Canyon Country. The decking had soft sections over the garage, and the granule loss was past patchwork. We tore everything to the deck, replaced four sheets of OSB, laid synthetic underlayment, and installed GAF Timberline HDZ architectural shingles with new drip edge and boots. The homeowner got a line-item quote in writing before we removed a single nail and a photo set of the whole job at the end.
Flat Roof Membrane Failure in Newhall

Flat and low-slope sections don’t forgive standing water the way a pitched roof does. This Newhall addition had a split membrane along the parapet wall, and every afternoon sun cycle was making the split wider. We cut out the failed section, installed a modified bitumen patch with a cold-adhered seam, and applied a reflective coating that keeps surface temps down in July. The repair is watertight, documented, and covered for a full year under the 365-Day Done Right Promise.
Skylight Leak and Curb Repair in Stevenson Ranch

A skylight that leaks in a Stevenson Ranch bedroom isn’t always the glass, it’s usually the curb, the raised frame the skylight sits on. This one had original sealant turned to chalk and fasteners rusted through from a decade of morning dew. We pulled the skylight, rebuilt the curb flashing with new metal, and laid ice-and-water shield around the entire opening before resetting the unit. No more stains on the ceiling, and the repair is in writing for 365 days.
Replacement After Wind Damage in Castaic

When shingle seals break, the whole slope catches wind like a sail. This Castaic roof had a north slope where the shingles had creased and lifted after one too many gust events off the ridge. Rather than patch a slope that would keep failing, we recommended replacing the full north and west-facing planes. New CertainTeed Landmark shingles, new underlayment, and a clean line where the slopes meet. Dylan Pace walked the job with the homeowner before we wrote the price, and the written quote matched the invoice exactly.
